Michael Fröhlich (born July 26, 1986 in Rosenheim ) is a German ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Starbulls Rosenheim in the ice hockey league since 2017 .

Career

Michael Fröhlich began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of Starbulls Rosenheim, for whose U18 juniors he was active in the German youth league from 2001 to 2004 . In the 2003/04 season he also made six appearances for their first team in the fourth-class Bayernliga . The winger then played for Rosenheim in the league for two years , where he spent one season each between 2006 and 2008 at Eisbären Juniors Berlin and TEV Miesbach .

From 2008 to 2010 Fröhlich was under contract with the Oberliga participant EC Peiting and made his professional debut as a loan player for ESV Kaufbeuren from the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2009/10 season . At ESV Kaufbeuren he also spent the entire following season and scored eleven goals and provided twelve assists in a total of 31 games for the team. He also played two games for the Augsburg Panthers in the German Ice Hockey League .

In summer 2012 he completed a trial training at ERC Ingolstadt , but did not receive a contract afterwards. He then joined his hometown club, the Starbulls Rosenheim, for which he played in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2012/2013 season. At the end of August 2013, Michael Fröhlich decided to return to the upper division EC Peiting.

Between 2014 and 2017 Fröhlich played for ESV Kaufbeuren in DEL2 before returning to his home club in 2017.
