Michael Edwin Frieser (* thirtieth March 1964 in Nuremberg ) is a German politician of the CSU and lawyer . Frieser has been a member of the German Bundestag since 2009 .

Life

After graduating from the Willstätter Gymnasium in Nuremberg, Frieser studied law at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg . He completed his studies in 1990 with the first state examination and in 1994 with the second state examination. From 1994 to 1996 he was a research assistant in the German Bundestag . From 1996 to 2009 he was a member of the CSU city council group in Nuremberg, from 2003 its group chairman.

Since April 28, 2018, Frieser has been chairman of the CSU district association Nuremberg-Fürth-Schwabach.

Frieser is Catholic and married.

Member of the Bundestag

Since the federal election in 2009 , Michael Frieser has always won the direct mandate in the Nuremberg-South constituency. He was a member of the Home Affairs Committee , the Legal Affairs Committee and the Human Rights and Humanitarian Aid Committee for the 17th electoral term . Frieser was the integration policy officer of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group.

He was again a full member of the Interior Committee in the 18th Bundestag , deputy chairman of the 2nd committee of inquiry into the Edathy affair , member of the board of trustees of the Federal Agency for Civic Education , in the committee according to Section 23c (8) of the Customs Investigation Service Act , in the CSU regional group in the German Bundestag Chairman of Working Group I - Interior, Law and Consumer Protection, Local Politics, Sport and Volunteering, Culture and Media and Commissioner for Demographic Change in the CDU / CSU parliamentary group in the German Bundestag.

In the 19th Bundestag , Frieser is a full member of the Legal Committee , the Committee on Election Review, Immunity and Rules of Procedure, and the Committee on Culture and Media . He is also a legal advisor and representative for demographic change in the CDU / CSU parliamentary group in the German Bundestag. Since December 12, 2019, Frieser has been a full member of the toll affair investigation committee , the 2nd parliamentary investigation committee of the 19th electoral term of the German Bundestag. He is a deputy member of the election committee .
