Michael Gogl (born November 4, 1993 in Gmunden ) is an Austrian cyclist .

Career

In 2012 Michael Gogl became a member of the UCI Continental Team RC ARBÖ Gourmetfein Wels . In 2014 he won a stage of the Grand Prix Sochi and in 2015 the Croatian one-day race Grand Prix Laguna Porec . As a member of the Austrian national team, he competed in the U23 Nations Cup competition Tour de l'Avenir in 2014 .

For the 2016 season, Gogl received a contract with the Russian UCI WorldTeam Tinkoff , for which he already drove as a stagiaire in autumn 2015 . He contested his first Grand Tour with the Vuelta a España in 2016 , which he finished as the 68th. He then came fourth overall on the Tour of Denmark in 2016 .

After a year Gogl moved to the US team Trek-Segafredo . He finished eighth in the UCI World Tour -race Amstel Gold Race in 2017 and finished fifth in the overall standings of the Tour des Fjords 2018. In 2019, he became Austrian Vice Champion in road racing .

In 2020 Gogl joined the South African NTT Pro Cycling Team .
