Michael Grauvogel

Michael Grauvogel (born June 16, 1948 in Lippstadt ) is a former German judge. Until February 28, 2013 he was Vice President of the Bremen State Labor Court .

Michael Grauvogel studied law , political science and history in Freiburg , Marburg and Gießen . He then became a lawyer and research assistant at the Senator for Construction in Bremen . He became head of the works and staff council center of the Bremen Chamber of Employees and legal advisor to the Senate Commission for Human Resources in Bremen. On January 1, 1990, he became a judge at the labor court there, was deputy director of the Bremen-Bremerhaven labor court from July 2006 to September 2009 and was appointed presiding judge at the Bremen state labor court on October 1, 2009, of which he became vice-president on June 1, 2010 .

Grauvogel was one of the driving forces behind the introduction of mediation in the specialized courts. In addition, he organized and supervised the pro reporter training across national borders for labor courts.

Michael Grauvogel was married to the sociologist and university professor Mechtild Oechsle , they have two children.
