Michael Joseph McKenna

Michael Joseph McKenna (born December 8, 1951 in Bairnsdale ) is an Australian clergyman and Roman Catholic Bishop of Bathurst .

Life

The Bishop of Ballarat , Ronald Austin Mulkearns , ordained him on 18 August 1972 priests .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Bishop of Bathurst on April 15, 2009. The Archbishop of Sydney , George Cardinal Pell , ordained him episcopal on June 26 of that year ; Co- consecrators were Patrick Dougherty , Old Bishop of Bathurst, and Jeremiah Joseph Coffey , Bishop Emeritus of Sale .

On July 8, 2020, Pope Francis appointed him a member of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue .
