Michael Lechleitner

Michael Lechleitner (* around 1611 in Grins , Tyrol ; † January 25, 1669 in Au , Vorarlberg ) was a Tyrolean baroque sculptor .

Life

Michael Lechleitner, probably related to Ingenuin Lechleitner , was a student of Hans Patsch in Landeck . He created figures and altars in the Tyrolean Oberland , which are in the tradition of the Weilheimer Werkstätten and combine a folk approach with greater mobility and physicality of the figures.
