Michael Leopold

Michael Leopold (born September 24, 1971 ) is a German sports presenter and commentator.

Life

Michael Leopold grew up in Iffeldorf in Upper Bavaria . After graduating from high school in Penzberg , he completed an apprenticeship as a banker and studied communication sciences at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . In 1996 he switched from radio to television to DSF . Since 1999, Leopold has moderated and commented on football for Sky Germany . As part of the Bundesliga conference, he is a man from the very beginning. With the conference he won both the German and the Bavarian television award .

In 2006 and 2010 , Leopold commented on World Cup games.

Michael Leopold accompanied the DEL and NHL as a moderator and commentator for many years . In 2000 he commented on the third longest NHL game of all time. Leopold could be heard live for seven and a half hours. He ended his comment with the words: "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue!". He worked for EA Sports for several years as a commentator on the German version of the NHL series.

Leopold is also active as a journalist as an author of documentaries and reports. In addition, Michael Leopold works as a moderator for well-known companies such as Deutsche Telekom , Adidas and Autostadt . In March 2010 he was honored with the Bundesliga Foundation Prize for his social commitment .
