Michael Miedl (born July 10, 1980 in Deggendorf ) is a former German soccer player who played on the position of the striker .
Career
Miedl started playing soccer at SV Schöfweg, moved from there to FC Tittling and finally to FC Vilshofen . From FC Vilshofen he made the leap into the youth of TSV 1860 Munich . During this time he also played for the junior national team and was fourth with the U-17 at the 1997 World Cup in Egypt , where he came to three missions. With the "Löwen" he then played for two years with the amateur team in the Regionalliga Süd . During this time, however, he had to take a six-month break because of a torn cruciate ligament . Despite this serious injury, the second division newcomer 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 signed him for the 2001/02 season . This season he ran a total of 17 times for Schweinfurt without scoring a goal. After the end of the season, Schweinfurt was finally relegated to the regional league. There Miedl played for the club for two more years and scored two goals. However, after the forced relegation to the Bayern League followed in 2004 , Miedl also left the club. After his time in Schweinfurt, he spent a year each at TSV Aindling and FC Ismaning , which at that time also played in the Bayern League. Since then he continued to play football in the regional league until 2011, but is now a full-time industrial engineer . He then became a player-coach at SV Riedlhütte in the district league.
