Michael Raymond-James (born December 24, 1977 in Detroit , Michigan ) is an American actor . He became known, among other things, for his role as Rene Lenier in the television series True Blood .

Life

Raymond-James studied at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in New York, with George Loros, Jeffery Horn and Robert Castle. This was followed by several stage appearances in New York, including in The Petrified Forest in the Pantheon Theater in New York.

He starred in Craig Brewer's Black Snake Moan . He also had guest appearances on series such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation , Navy CIS , Medium - Nothing Remains Hidden , Boston Legal , Emergency Room - The Emergency Room and the premiere of the second season of Lie to Me . In 2011 he played the role of Britt Pollack in the short-lived television series Terriers . The following year he played guest roles in The Walking Dead and Once Upon a Time - Once Upon a Time .
