Michael Sturm-Berger

Michael Sturm-Berger (born October 29, 1958 in Kelkheim / Main-Taunus-Kreis ) is a German prehistoric and religious scholar .

Life

In 1973 Michael Sturm-Berger began researching the prehistory and early history of his home region. He completed his studies in Mainz with Michael Müller-Wille and in Frankfurt am Main with Günter Smolla , Hermann Müller-Karpe , Heinz Röhr , Hans-Werner Bartsch , Willy Schottroff , Karlheinz Deller and others in 1987 with a Magister Artium. In 1988 he moved to Berlin, where he married the chemist Jutta Berger in 1989. Since 1990 he has been actively involved in interreligious dialogue ( Religions for Peace ). In 1995 he received his doctorate in Frankfurt am Main. 1996–1998 he worked in the archeology of the state of Brandenburg as a find processor. Since 2000 he has been the business coordinator of the oldest still existing German association for interreligious cooperation, the Working Group of Churches and Religious Societies (AKR) Berlin e. V., active. From 2003 he was employed at the German Museum of Technology in Berlin . He has been a freelance lecturer since 2009 - also at the universities of Potsdam and Erfurt.

His research focuses on the history of interreligious dialogue and prehistoric religions.
