Career
Isac Lundeström was born in Gällivare and in his youth went through the junior departments at Luleå HF . In the 2014/15 season he made his debut for the club's J20 in the J20 SuperElit , Sweden's highest-ranking junior league. There the center established itself at the beginning of the 2015/16 season and also played its first four games for the professional division of Luleå in the Svenska Hockeyligan (SHL). From the following year 2016/17 he was regularly on the ice in the most important Swedish league before he increased his performance there to 15 scorer points from 42 games for the 2017/18 season.
Lundeström was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2018 in 23rd position by the Anaheim Ducks , who provided him with an entry contract a little later in August 2018 . During the following pre-season season, the Swede won a place in the Ducks squad and subsequently made his debut in the National Hockey League (NHL) in early October 2018 . From November of the same year he was also used in Anaheim's farm team , the San Diego Gulls from the American Hockey League (AHL). After the U20 World Cup, it was announced in January 2019 that Lundeström would return to Luleå HF on loan until the end of the season. For the AHL playoffs in May 2019, he was then back in the Gulls squad.
International
Lundeström gained his first international experience by winning the bronze medal at the World U-17 Hockey Challenge 2015 . Then he reached the final of the U18 World Cup in 2016 with Sweden's U18 team, but lost to the Finnish team there, so that the team won the silver medal. Further appearances at U18 level followed at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament 2016 and at the U18 World Championship 2017 , whereby the medal ranks were missed in each case. The attacker finally made his debut for the U20 national team of his home country as part of the U20 World Cup 2018 , at the end of which he won another silver medal by losing to Canada in the final . A year later he took part in the 2019 U20 World Cup.
In addition, Lundeström made his debut for the senior national team of Tre Kronor during the Euro Hockey Tour of the 2017/18 season .
