Michael Ugwu Eneja (* 1919 in Ibagwa Nkwo , Nigeria ; † November 14, 2008 ) was the Roman Catholic Bishop of Enugu in Nigeria.

Life

Michael Ugwu Eneja was ordained a priest on July 29, 1951 for the diocese of Enugu.

In 1977 he was appointed by Pope Paul VI. appointed bishop in the diocese of Enugu . The episcopal ordination received his Archbishop Girolamo Prigione , Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Nigeria, on 26 February 1978; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Onitsha in Nigeria and later Cardinal Francis Arinze and Anthony Gogo Nwedo , Bishop of Umuahia in Nigeria.

John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation in 1996.
