Michael Vašíček (born April 25, 1979 in Brno , Czechoslovakia ) is a former German - Czech ice hockey player who last played in the 2nd Bundesliga ice hockey league in the position of defender at EV Ravensburg .

Career

Vašíček began his career in the youth department of the EHC Freiburg . He made the leap into the professional team in 1997 , when he played for the Wolves in the 1st League South. After the season, the defender moved to the highest Czech ice hockey league for HC Plzeň . There Vašíček completed two games before he was used as a surplus defender in the juniors. He then moved during the season to Šumperk in the third highest division to gain more gaming experience there.

Due to financial problems within the club Vašíček came back to Freiburg for the 1999/00 season , for which he completed another 242 games until 2005. For the 2005/06 season the SERC Wild Wings committed the defender, in which he played a total of three seasons.

In the 2008 Vašíček played for the ETC Crimmitschau in the 2nd Bundesliga . After the season, his contract with the club was no longer extended and he signed with league competitor EV Ravensburg .

• 2011 2nd ice hockey Bundesliga champion with the Ravensburg Towerstars
