Michael Zepek (born January 19, 1981 in Bad Friedrichshall ) is a former German soccer player . He grew up in Siegelsbach .

Career

The defender went through all youth national teams of the DFB and was considered a great talent. From 1999 to 2001 he played at Karlsruher SC - where he made his debut under coach Joachim Loew - one season each in the 2nd Bundesliga and the Regionalliga Süd. He then moved to Bayer Leverkusen, but was only used in the regional league team. At the time, there was also a loose request from Real Madrid . After only one season he went to the second division club LR Ahlen (19 games, one goal), then another year at Karlsruher SC with 15 missions followed in the 2002/03 season. From the 2004/05 season he played for three years at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in the Regionalliga Süd, in which he came to 61 games (three goals). In the 2007/08 season he played for SV Elversberg , in the 2008/09 season he was without a club.

Before the 2009/10 season, KSV Hessen Kassel signed Zepek for three years. After he was excluded from the first team squad at the beginning of the 2011/12 season, he came back under the new interim coach Holger Brück . At the end of the 2011/12 season he ended his career and is now active as a player's agent.
