Mischa Bach

Mischa Bach ( pseudonym of Michaela Bach ; born April 29, 1966 in Neuwied ) is a German writer .

life and work

After graduating from high school, Mischa Bach worked for the Rhineland-Palatinate state theater in her hometown of Neuwied for two years . She then studied German , English and film studies at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and the University of Duisburg-Essen , where she received her doctorate in 1997 with a thesis on film studies . Bach, who has been publishing literary works since 1982, now lives as a freelance writer in Essen . In addition to her literary work, she also works as a lecturer at various universities and in adult education.

Michaela Bach is the author of detective novels , short stories , plays and television scripts , especially for the series Polizeiruf 110 . She is a member of the literary association “ Murderous Sisters ” and the crime fiction authors' association “ Syndicate ”. In 2001 she received the Martha-Saalfeld-Förderpreis for her story “Death is a long, murky river” .

In 2018 Michaela Bach started the project "Author sponsorships" with the state school for the deaf and hard of hearing in Neuwied with grades 7 and 8. This project aims to introduce school students and young people to the world of authors.
