Michaela Kolster

Michaela Kolster (born May 26, 1964 in Verden (Aller) ) is a German television journalist and presenter. Since 2012 she has been the program manager of the television station Phoenix for ZDF .

Life

Michaela Kolster attended the Freiherr-vom-Stein-Gymnasium in Leverkusen until 1984 . She then studied political science, Japanese studies and modern history at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn until 1987 . In 1987 she studied at the Sophia University in Tokyo and then until 1990 at Waseda University , also in the Japanese capital. After a three-month guest stay at the University of California, Los Angeles and the Berkeley University San Francisco , she resumed her studies in Bonn and completed it two years later with a Magister Artium .

From February to December 1989 Kolster worked as a freelancer in the ZDF studio in Tokyo. From 1992 she worked as head of duty in the ZDF capital city studio in Bonn and became a correspondent there in 1996. In 1999 she moved to Berlin. In the spring of 2000 Kolster acted as pregnancy replacement for Gundula Gause and Anja Charlet in the heute-journal and presented the news block as co-moderator for a few months. Until the end of 2009 she was the capital correspondent for ZDF in Berlin. In January 2010 Kolster took over the management of the ZDF studio NRW in Düsseldorf.

Since November 2012 Kolster has been the ZDF program manager at Phoenix in Bonn. Kolster also moderates the weekly talk show Unter den Linden at Phoenix .

Michaela Kolster is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Johanna Quandt Foundation .
