Michaela Resetar

Michaela Resetar (* 1966 in Vorau ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). Resetar was regional councilor and member of the Burgenland provincial government in the provincial governments Niessl II and Niessl III from 2004 to 2015 . From July 9, 2015 to February 17, 2020, she was a member of the Burgenland State Parliament .

education and profession

Michaela Resetar attended elementary school in Oberschützen from 1973 to 1977 and from 1977 the Oberschützen high school . In 1981 she moved to the Protestant Upper School Oberschützen, where she graduated in 1985. Resetar then graduated from the Pedagogical Academy Ettenreichgasse from 1985 to 1988 and passed the teaching examination for elementary schools in 1988. Resetar then completed a degree in business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business , which she completed in 1996 with the academic degree Magistra in Social and Economic Sciences .

Resetar completed a two-month internship at the Austrian foreign trade office in Sydney in 1991 and worked in her husband's agriculture until 1997. She has been managing director of the Burgenland Therme Bad Tatzmannsdorf and the Hotel AVITA since 1997 (planning, construction and operation since opening). Since 2000 she has also been a board member of the Bad Tatzmannsdorf marketing association.

Michaela Resetar was elected regional councilor on May 27, 2004 by the Burgenland Parliament. She was in the state government Niessl II and Niessl III , her department included the areas of tourism, transport and education. She was ÖVP district party leader in the Oberwart district for 13 years , and Georg Rosner succeeded her as district party leader in April 2018 . After the state election in 2015 , she became a member of the Burgenland state parliament , from which she left after the state election in 2020 .

Private

Resetar is married to Adalbert Resetar and has two children. She lives in Schachendorf .
