Mikhail Alexejewitsch Kostyljow

Mikhail Alexejewitsch Kostyljow ( Russian Михаил Алексеевич Костылёв ; * 1900 , † 1974 ) was a Soviet diplomat .

Life

In 1937 Kostyljow entered the service of the People's Commissariat for Foreign Affairs of the USSR and was economic attaché in Rome under Benito Mussolini . From 1942 to April 1944 he was Counselor in Ankara . From April 1944 to June 4, 1944 he was a direct representative of the Soviet government under Josef Stalin to the government of Pietro Badoglio in Caserta and then to Ivanoe Bonomi in Rome until 1945. From 1945 to January 1954 he was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USSR to Italy. January 1954 to November 10, 1956 he was employed in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Moscow. From November 10, 1956 to November 10, 1959, he was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USSR in Buenos Aires , Argentina . He was expelled from Buenos Aires and accused of agitating on the issues of unions, students and culture .

From November 10, 1959 to 1969 he was employed in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Moscow.

Mikhail Kostylev was a member of the CPSU .
