Michal Klasa

Michal Klasa (born December 19, 1953 in Brno ) is a former Czechoslovak cyclist .

Klasa, who started for the Dukla Brno club , became Czechoslovakian champions in team and individual pursuit on the track in 1974 . With the national team he won the bronze medal in the team pursuit at the 1974 World Championships . At the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montréal , he finished eighth with the Czechoslovak four-wheeler.

On the road , Klasa won the overall ranking of the Circuit des Ardennes in 1981 as well as sections of other international stage races , such as the Tour of Poland , the Peace Tour , the Tour de l'Avenir , the Milk Race and the Tour of the GDR . He represented his country at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow , where he won the bronze medal in the 100km team time trial. Also with the street foursome, he won bronze at the UCI road world championships in 1981 and silver in 1985 .
