Michal Pospíšil (born May 3, 1979 in Prague ) is a Czech football player .

Club career

In his youth, Pospíšil played for the small Prague club Slavoj Zbraslav, Dukla Prague and Sparta Prague . In 1997 he made his first-team debut in the UEFA Champions League against Borussia Dortmund . As an 18-year-old he went to Chmel Blšany on loan in 1998 , where he immediately became a regular. With him, the team rose to the first division at the end of the season. Between 2000 and 2002 he played for Viktoria Žižkov , still on loan from Sparta Prague .

For the 2002/03 season he returned to Sparta Prague, after only one year he moved to Slovan Liberec . After a successful season with nine goals in 26 games, he was signed by the Scottish club Heart of Midlothian . In January 2008 he signed with the Belgian club VV St. Truiden for three and a half years .

In February 2009 Pospíšil was loaned to Viktoria Žižkov until the end of the season. In the second half of 2009 Pospíšil was without a club, in January 2010 the attacker signed a two-year contract with FK Bohemians Prague . A year later, in January 2011, he moved to Iceland to join UMF Grindavík .

At the end of August 2014, he signed a contract until the end of the season with the German Northern Bayern division DJK Ammerthal . He then moved on to VfB Straubing and has been under contract with FC Přední Kopanina in his home country since 2017 .

National team

Michal Pospíšil made 21 games for the Czech U-21 national team , in which he scored five goals. Previously, he had been used eleven times in the U-18 and once in the U-20 team .
