History and description

Only access with a "Val d'Osne" candelabra

Both stations were built by the CMP railway company and are each 75 m long. They lie under white-tiled, elliptical vaults, the side walls follow their curvature.

The station of today's line 10 went into operation on September 30, 1913 with the opening of the western extension of line 8. This was then extended to the west from the Beaugrenelle station (since 1947: Charles Michels ). In the Auteuil district, it forms a large final loop that was abandoned as part of regular traffic when the line was extended to Boulogne - Jean Jaurès in 1980. It is driven counter-clockwise.

On July 27, 1937, the section of line 8 between La Motte-Picquet - Grenelle and the then terminus Porte d'Auteuil , including the Michel-Ange - Molitor station, was assigned to line 10. It has two tracks on a central platform, both of which are used in a west-east direction. The southern track is used for regular traffic from Boulogne-Billancourt , the northern track can only be used in the course of the final loop from Porte d'Auteuil. The two tracks join to the east of the station.

The station on line 9 went into operation on November 8, 1922. It has two tracks on side platforms. The two lines intersect at the aforementioned intersection, with line 9 passing under line 10. There is no track connection between the two lines.

The metro station has only one access at the junction of Rue Molitor / Rue Michel-Ange. It is marked by a “Val d'Osne” candelabra.

vehicles

Both lines are operated with conventional cars that run on steel rails. The last Sprague-Thomson train ran on line 9 on April 16, 1983 , after which it was used by vehicles of the MF 67 series. Since 2013, these have gradually been replaced by the MF 01 series .

The MF 67 series runs on Line 10. Between 1975 and 1994, MA series trains ran there , before that of the Sprague-Thomson type.

Remarks

  1. The stations built by the Nord-Sud railway company, which competed until 1929, have vertical walls under elliptical ceilings
  2. On several lines of the Paris Métro trains run with pneumatic tires on mobile beams
