Michel Combes

Michel Combes (born March 29, 1962 in Boulogne-Billancourt ) is a French manager .

Life

Combes attended the Lycée Louis-le-Grand and studied at the École polytechnique . After working for the French companies France Télécom and TDF , he was Managing Director of Vodafone Europe from 2008 to 2012 . Combes was the successor to Ben Verwaayen from 2013 to September 1, 2015 CEO of the French group Alcatel-Lucent . He was supposed to receive a settlement of 14 million euros in compensation in shares, but this was later reduced to 7.9 million euros due to turbulence within the company over the excessive amount of the settlement. Since then he has been PDG of Numericable SFR and Chief Operating Officer of the Altice Group .

Combes is married with two children and lives with his family in Paris.
