Michel Peyramaure (* 1922 in Brive-la-Gaillarde , Corrèze department ) is a French journalist and writer.

Live and act

After finishing school, Peyramaure began to work in his father's print shop. His first literary attempts (poems) fell during this time and were also printed by himself.

Later Peyramaure got a job as a journalist for the daily La Montagne . His first novel, Paradis etre quatre murs , which was published in 1954, was written parallel to his job .

Together with his colleagues Claude Michelet and Denis Tillinac , Peyramaure founded the literary circle École de Brive in the eighties , specifically to promote the regional literature of his homeland.
