Michel Yatim
Michel Yatim (born December 4, 1920 in Aleppo , Syria , † September 16, 2006 ) was Archbishop of Latakia of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church in Syria.
Life
On July 20, 1946, Michel Yatim received the sacrament of ordination . He received his appointment as Archbishop of Latakia and successor to Archbishop Paul Achkar on August 18, 1981. The Patriarch of Antioch Archbishop Maximos V. Hakim and the co-consecrators, Archbishop Néophytos Edelby of Aleppo , as well as the Auxiliary Bishop in Antioch François Abou Mokh , donated to him Episcopal ordination on October 23, 1981 .
Michel Yakim retired on July 18, 1995 and held the title of Senior Archbishop of Latakia until his death on September 16, 2006 . He was Mitkonsekrator at the episcopal ordination of his successor Fares Maakaroun .
