Midge Decter

Midge Rosenthal Decter (born July 25, 1927 in Saint Paul ) is an American publicist and journalist .

Life

Decter attended the University of Minnesota , the Jewish Theological Seminary, and New York University . Then she worked a. a. for Commentary and Harper's Magazine . She published in u. a. The Atlantic , The Weekly Standard , National Review , The New Republic, and The American Spectator . She was vice chairman of the anti-communist think tank Committee for the Free World . She is also the founder of the conservative non-profit Independent Women's Forum , a member of the Heritage Foundation's Board of Trustees and a member of the Philadelphia Society . She is a signatory to the Statement of Principles for the Project for the New American Century .

She is married to Norman Podhoretz and has four children, including John Podhoretz .
