Mido Hamada

Mido Hamada (* 1971 in Cairo ) is a German film and theater actor of Egyptian origin.

Life

Mido Hamada was born to Egyptian parents in Cairo, but came to Germany with his parents at a young age, where he lived in Bonn until he was 28 years old. After completing compulsory schooling at The American Embassy School , he graduated from the Aloisius College in Bonn. Hamada, who later received German citizenship and thus has dual citizenship , speaks English , German and Arabic fluently. Hamada broke off studying Egyptology and archeology at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn after a short time and instead studied sports science at the German Sport University in Cologne . During his training he trained together in the German Olympic team.

During his studies, Hamada also had the opportunity to study acting for a semester at The Actors Studio in New York City . Encouraged to give it a try as an actor, Hamada moved to England, where he received his full acting training from the well-known Oxford School of Drama in Oxford . Hamada gained his first experience at the Royal Court Theater and in London's West End . In 2002 Hamada made his film debut in an episode of the British television series Believe Nothing . Only two years later, the call from Hollywood followed when he took on a small role in Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow in 2004 .

Hamada's southern appearance has given him corresponding roles so far. In 2007 he stood in front of the camera as doctor Taj Kalid in eight episodes of the television series State of Mind and in 2010 in ten episodes of the real-time series 24 .

Mido Hamada now lives in London .
