Fabienne Hartweger (born September 29, 1992 in Schladming ) is a former Austrian cross-country skier and biathlete .

Career

Fabienne Hartweger starts for the WSV Ramsau am Dachstein . In 2008 she contested her first international cross-country skiing race in St. Jakob im Rosental as part of the Alpine Cup . Further appearances in the Alpine Cup, FIS and junior races followed until 2009. She achieved top ten results several times. At the Austrian Biathlon Championships 2010 , she won the title with Iris and Ulla Waldhuber in Hochfilzen as the representative of Styria . In 2011 she contested her first race in the IBU Cup and finished 92nd in a sprint in Obertilliach .

Hartweger achieved her best results so far as 47th of a sprint as well as an individual in Altenberg and relay tenth in Haute-Maurienne . At the Austrian Championships in 2012 , she was runner-up in the pursuit and with the relay. In 2013 she won the season title again with Romana Schrempf and Iris Waldhuber-Schwabl . In the 2016/17 season she got her first World Cup points at the start of the season in the singles in Östersund with a 22nd place. In 2017 she celebrated her first IBU Cup victory in a sprint in Martell. In February 2017 she started at the Biathlon World Championships 2017 in Hochfilzen. There she reached 83rd place in the sprint and 78th place in the individual. With the mixed relay, Hartweger was ninth.

On April 26, 2020, Hartweger announced her retirement from competitive sports.

Fabienne Hartweger is in a relationship with the ski racer Christopher Neumayer .
