Mieczysław from Kwilecki

Mieczysław Maria Napoleon Count Kwilecki (born August 15, 1833 in Ober-Zedlitz , Fraustadt district ; † June 5, 1918 in Oporowo bei Wronke, Samter district ) was a large Polish landowner and politician in Prussia and the German Empire .

Life

He came from the Polish magnate family Kwilecki . Between 1851 and 1855 he served in the Prussian army. After that he was manager of his estate, the manor Oprorowo. He was active in the Polish national movement in 1864. For this reason he was also charged. In 1872 he was a co-founder of the Posener Landesbank. He also supported a number of Polish associations. In 1895 he became an expert for the Prussian State Council .

Kwilecki was deputy parliament Marshal of the County Council poses . Between 1867 and 1871 he was a member of the Reichstag of the North German Confederation . From 1866 he was also a member of the Prussian manor house . There he participated in commissions and as secretary. From 1916 he was vice president of the Polish party Kola Polskie.
