The Miele is a river in Dithmarschen . In terms of the type of flowing water , it is marshland .

The Miele has two source arms, the Nordermiele and the Südermiele . These unite near Meldorf and flow through the Speicherkoog into the Meldorfer Bay of the North Sea. In front of the old Meldorfer Hafen, the Süderau flows into it and drains the southern areas. Miele collects its water on the western Heide-Itzehoer Geestinsel . The Nordermiele has its source in the Fieler Moor and is fed by the land ditch and many small ditches. The Südermiele is fed via the moor ditch from the Südermoor near Tensbüttel-Röst and the Dellbrückau. The Miele belongs to the Eider river basin district .

As the function of the Miele is severely impaired by slow sanding, the Norder-Miele will be dredged as far as the Fieler Moor in 2011.
