The Fieler Moor is a nature reserve in the municipality of Nordhastedt in the municipality of Heider Umland in the district of Dithmarschen , Schleswig-Holstein . It is almost congruent with the FFH area "NSG Fieler Moor" with the WDPA ID 555517928.
The nature reserve consists of fen areas , former peat cuttings and wet grassland. When the federal highway 23 was built, two large ponds were created, which are also part of the nature reserve.
Marsh harriers and water ramps live in the area and live in reed beds. The rare crab claws can be found on some areas of water in the peat cuttings. Various migratory birds can also be found in the area in spring and autumn : mallards , wigeons , great crested grebes , white claws and goosander .
The area is developed for tourism through a circular path and an observation hill. Care is taken by the Federation for the Environment and Nature Conservation (BUND).
