The former Fieler See is a nature reserve in the Schleswig-Holstein communities of Epenwöhrden , Hemmingstedt and Nordhastedt in the Dithmarschen district .

The approximately 130  hectare nature reserve is registered under number 174 in the directory of nature reserves of the Ministry for Energy Transition, Agriculture, Environment, Nature and Digitization . It was expelled at the end of 1998 (date of regulation: December 22, 1998). The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the Dithmarschen district.

The nature reserve is located between Heide and Meldorf, southeast of Hemmingstedt in a humid lowland area. It encompasses the area of ​​the former Fieler See and adjacent areas. The nature reserve, which is traversed by the Dehringstrom and Nordmiele and is a flood plain for them, is characterized by areas of grassland , fallow land and reed beds . It is an important habitat for meadow birds.
