Miguel Balaguer

Miguel Balaguer (born September 30, 1906 in Rocha , Uruguay , † October 15, 1985 ) was Bishop of Tacuarembó .

Life

Miguel Balaguer received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Montevideo on October 26, 1930 .

On November 20, 1962, Pope John XXIII appointed him . the titular bishop of Castellum minus and it ordered the auxiliary bishop in Montevideo. The Archbishop of Montevideo, Antonio María Cardinal Barbieri OFMCap , donated him episcopal ordination on January 6, 1963 ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of San José de Mayo , Luis Baccino , and the Bishop of Tacuarembó, Carlos Parteli Keller .

On February 26, 1966, Pope Paul VI appointed him bishop of Tacuarembó. Miguel Balaguer resigned as Bishop of Tacuarembó on January 28, 1983.

Miguel Balaguer attended the second, third and fourth sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
