The Diocese of Tacuarembó ( Latin Dioecesis Tacuarembiana , Spanish diócesis de Tacuarembó ) is in Uruguay situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Tacuarembó . It is under canonical and organizationally subordinate to the Archdiocese of Montevideo .
history
The diocese of Tacuarembó emerged from part of the diocese area of Florida and was established on October 22, 1960. Sixteen parishes belong to the diocese and are home to around 100,000 Roman Catholic Christians . Her pastoral care is provided by eleven diocesan priests and nine fathers . They are supported by eight deacons in the permanent diaconate , thirty-five nuns and twelve friars .
