Julio César Bonino , full name Julio César Bonino Bonino , (born February 2, 1947 in Santa Lucía , Uruguay , † August 8, 2017 in Tacuarembó ) was Bishop of Tacuarembó .

Life

Julio César Bonino Bonino received the sacrament of ordination on May 26, 1974 after his theological training at the seminary of the diocese of Canelones .

On December 20, 1989, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Tacuarembó. The Bishop of Canelones , Orestes Santiago Nuti Sanguinetti SDB , donated him episcopal ordination on March 18, 1990 ; Co- consecrators were the retired Archbishop of Montevideo , Carlos Parteli Keller , and the Bishop of Salto , Daniel Gil Zorrilla SJ .

Bonino was involved in national environmental movements; he was a member of the Commission Tacuarembó, por la vida y el agua (Tacuarembó, for life and water).

He died in the intensive care unit of a local hospital in Tacuarembó.
