Mihaela Stănuleț
Mihaela Stănuleț (born July 16, 1967 in Sibiu ) is a former Romanian artistic gymnast .
She started gymnastics at the age of eight. 1981 Stănuleț took part for the first time in the World Championships and was fourth with the Romanian team. At the 1983 European Gymnastics Championships , she won the bronze medal on the balance beam. At the world championships in the same year Stănuleț won silver with the Romanian team.
At the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles Stănuleț won the gold medal with the Romanian team with Lavinia Agache , Laura Cutina , Cristina Grigoraș , Simona Păuca and Ecaterina Szabó . She also finished fourth on the uneven bars, just behind the American Mary Lou Retton .
After her competitive sports career, Stănuleț became a trainer at CSȘ Sibiu, where she a. a. Claudia Presăcan and Steliana Nistor trained.
