Mikael Johansson (born June 27, 1985 in Arvika ) is a Swedish ice hockey player who was most recently under contract with the SCL Tigers in the Swiss National League .
Career
Mikael Johansson began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of Arvika HC , for whose senior team he was active in the third-class Division 1 from 2001 to 2003 . Then the center played for a year each for Arvika's league rivals Skåre BK and the professional team of Bofors IK from HockeyAllsvenskan , the second Swedish division. For the 2005/06 season he was obliged by Färjestad BK from the Elitserien . With the team he won the Swedish championship title straight away . He was able to repeat this success with his team in the 2008/09 and 2010/11 seasons . Only during most of the 2009/10 season he did not play for the FBK, but for the Hamilton Bulldogs in the American Hockey League .
In June 2013 he left the FBK and was signed by the newly promoted Leksands IF . After only one season at Leksand, Johansson decided to take the plunge abroad again and signed a contract for one season plus an option for another season with the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers in the Swiss National League A.
After a long season for Johansson, which ended with the relegation of the Lakers from the National League A, he returned to Sweden, where he signed a one-year contract with Färjestad BK from May 2015.
At the beginning of the 2016/17 season he was under contract with HK Lada Tolyatti in the KHL, but was dismissed in October 2016 and signed by Helsingfors IFK a little later . Johansson then moved to Brynäs IF in September 2017, and to HC Davos in December of the same year . In February 2018 he was signed by the SCL Tigers . After the 2018/19 season, he terminated his contract with the Tigers due to several injuries and returned to Sweden.
