Mike Vamp

Mike Vamp (* 1966 in Frankfurt am Main as Michael Pagliosa ) is a German DJ , musician and music producer . Together with DJ Clé he forms the music project Märtini Brös .

Life

Growing up in Frankfurt am Main, he was active in the punk scene from 1979 , moved to Berlin in 1980 and experimented with electronic music and guitars there. After a three-year stay in London with David Harrow ( Anne Clark , Dub Syndicate ), he worked from 1990 as the guitarist of the electro-punk band Space Cowboys .

From 1992 he produced clubwear especially for Berlin clubs in his own merchandising company. From 1995 to 1998 he was a member of the oceanclub in Berlin, a club and radio project by Gudrun Gut and Thomas Fehlmann .

In 1997 he met in an electronic processing of Mozart's opera Don Giovanni at the Berlin plant E on DJ Clé . Both founded the Märtini Brös (aka Maertini Broes), which still appear today as a live act and also as a DJ team. In 2000 they both also took part in the Berlin Mitte Boys project together with Jürgen Laarmann . In 2001 Vamp and DJ Clé founded the Audioparkstudio in Berlin, where they produced the band Artist Unknown , among others . While he was releasing albums with Märtini Brös, he also contributed remixes for artists such as Scissor Sisters , Tocotronic , 2raumwohnung and Lützenkirchen .

In 2007 Mike Vamp co-founded the Berlin Arena Club. In 2009 he founded the dance label NightsInGale with Patrick Graeser . In 2014 he founded his own label New Normal Recordings and joined the listening station ensemble .
