Tolštejn microregion
The Tolštejn microregion is a Czech microregion on the border with Saxony . It was formed in August 1999 to combine strengths and resources, above all to promote tourism. A total of 24,305 inhabitants live in the 139.87 km² microregion.

- Krásná Lípa ( Schönlinde )
- Chřibská ( Kreibitz )
- Dolní Podluží ( Lower Ground )
- Rybniště ( pond place )
- Horní Podluží ( upper ground )
- Jiřetín pod Jedlovou ( Sankt Georgenthal )
- Doubice ( Daubitz )
The microregion also includes three nature reserves: the Bohemian Switzerland National Park , the Labské pískovce nature reserve ( Elbe Sandstone Mountains ) and the Lužické hory nature reserve ( Lusatian Mountains ). The European watershed runs through the Tolštejn microregion, from which rivers flow into the North Sea and the Baltic Sea .
The name Tolštejn goes back to the Tolštejn Castle , which played an important role on the northern border of the Kingdom of Bohemia in the Middle Ages.
