Mile Novković

Mile Novković (born December 14, 1950 ) is a former Yugoslav football player .

career

He played for Red Star Belgrade from 1974 to 1975 . He made 61 league appearances and scored three goals for Belgrade. In the 1976/77 season he won the championship with Red Star and was involved in 18 games (1 goal). In 1978 he moved to Germany to Eintracht Trier in the 2nd Bundesliga . He played a total of 100 games at Trier from 1978 to 1981, scoring nine goals.

He made his debut on July 29, 1978 in a 3-1 home win against FC Homburg in the 2nd Bundesliga. Under coach Lothar Kleim and with teammates such as goalkeeper Werner Vollack , field players Gerd Fink , Erwin Hermandung , Heinz Histing , Wolfgang Schlief , Georg Müllner , goal scorer Lothar Leiendecker , Helmut Bergfelder and Borivoje Djordjevic , the team from the Mosel Stadium took tenth place. The newcomer from Belgrade had scored three goals in 33 league games. Werner Kern was the coach in Trier for the next two rounds . Despite a good eighth place in the 1980/81 season , Trier belonged to the amateur camp from 1981/82, as Eintracht did not have the necessary qualification points due to the introduction of the single-track 2nd Bundesliga. With the game on May 30, 1981 at FC Homburg (0: 4), the 2nd Bundesliga ended for Novković and Trier.
