Miles Heizer (born May 16, 1994 in Greenville , Kentucky ) is an American actor .

Life

Miles Heizer was born on May 16, 1994 in the American town of Greenville , Kentucky , United States , and has an older sister. His mother works as a nurse. When he was ten years old, his family moved to Los Angeles . Heizer made his first television appearance in 2005 in a role in the television series CSI: Miami , followed by small appearances in Ghost Whisperer and Shark . In 2007, Heizer received his first film role in Departure for a New Life . He played the character Davey Danner in the film at the age of 12 and was nominated for the Young Artist Award for best leading actor in a feature film . Thereafter, Heizer was seen in four episodes of the series Emergency Room . From 2010 he was 82 episodes in the role of Drew Holt in the television series Parenthood , in which he moves with his mother and sister. In February 2020, Heizer came out as gay via social media and made his relationship with actor Connor Jessup public.

In the Netflix series Dead Girls Don't Lie , a film adaptation of the youth book of the same name by Jay Asher , Heizer can be seen in the role of Alex.
