Miller Pata (born June 11, 1988 in Torba as Miller Elwin ) is a Vanuatu beach volleyball player .

Career

Pata won several national competitions in 2006. In 2007 she competed with Henriette Iatika for Vanuatu at the Oceania Championship and won the silver medal. The following year Pata / Iatika played their first open tournament on the FIVB World Tour in Adelaide . At the Oceania Championship in 2008, they won the title. In 2009 they participated in two more open tournaments in Sanya and Phuket . A year later, they reached 33rd place in Kristiansand and in Asia. In 2011 Pata played with Linline Matauatu and took part in a Grand Slam for the first time in Beijing . For the Asian Cup, however, she competed with Joyce Joshua and came in 17th. In 2012, Pata got back together with Iatika and also achieved 17th place at the Grand Slam in Shanghai . After winning the Challenger in Seoul , Pata / Iatika made it into the top ten for the first time in ninth place in Bang Saen . For them, the Asian Cup only ended in the final. In 2013 they qualified for the 2013 World Cup in Stare Jabłonki . There they won their opening game against the Poles Bekier / Oleksy and reached the first main round as second in the group. After another win against the Czech duo Kolocová / Sluková , they had to admit defeat to the Chinese Xue Chen / Zhang Xi in the round of 16 .
