Kristýna Kolocová (born April 1, 1988 in Nymburk ) is a Czech beach volleyball player .
Career
Kolocová and her partner Markéta Sluková were U18 European Champion in 2005 in Illitschiwsk (Ukraine) and fifth at the Junior World Championships in Bermuda in 2006 , Modena in 2007 and in Brighton in 2008 . At the European Championships in Hamburg in 2008, the Czechs were initially defeated by the Germans Holtwick / Ilka Semmler in three sets and then eliminated by their compatriots Claasen / Röder . The next year they reached the final of the U23 European Championship in Jantarny and then retired at the European Championships in Sochi as the group bottom of the preliminary round.
In 2010 they established themselves among the world's best with several top ten results at grand slams and open tournaments. In Kos they won the U23 European Championship. At the 2011 World Cup , they came second in the group in the first main round, in which they had to admit defeat to the Brazilians Maria Clara / Carol . In August they started at the European Championships in Kristiansand , but did not get past the preliminary round. In 2012 they reached ninth place at the European Championships in Scheveningen . At the 2013 World Cup in Stare Jabłonki , Kolocová / Sluková reached the main round as group winners, where they were eliminated from Vanuatu's Elwin / Iatika . On the World Tour they came in ninth in four Grand Slams and in the Klagenfurt Masters. They achieved their best result this year at the Grand Slam in Berlin , when they only lost to the US duo Fopma / Sweat in the bronze medal match .
On the 2014 World Tour , Kolocová / Sluková won the Prague Open in the final against the Germans Holtwick / Semmler after finishing ninth in Shanghai . At the European Championships in Quartu Sant'Elena , they came as group winners to the quarter-finals, which they lost against the Swiss duo Goricanec / Hüberli . In the FIVB series, they achieved top ten results in all other Grand Slams of the year. They won the tournament in Berlin against Maria Antonelli / Juliana and took another medal with bronze in Gstaad . They finished ninth each on the 2015 World Tour at the Prague Open and the Grand Slams in Moscow and Stavanger , while they achieved double-digit results in Poreč and Saint Petersburg . At the World Cup in the Netherlands, they were second to the Italians Menegatti / Orsi Toth in the first knockout round .
In 2016 Kolocová formed a new duo with Michala Kvapilová . On the World Tour , Kolocová / Kvapilová initially did not get beyond double-digit results. At the 2016 European Championship in Biel / Bienne , they reached the knockout round as third in the group and then had to admit defeat in the Czech duel against Sluková / Hermannová . After a fifth place at the CEV satellite tournament in Baden, they were eliminated early in the Hamburg Major and the Grand Slam in Olsztyn . They then won a MEVZA tournament in Prague and the CEV satellite in Vaduz . After a 25th place at the Klagenfurt Major and a ninth place at the CEV Masters in Jūrmala , they reached the final at the satellite tournament in Pelhřimov . At the start of the 2017 World Tour , Kolocová / Kvapilová finished fifth in Fort Lauderdale . A weaker tournament in The Hague was followed by fourth place at the CEV Masters in Baden. The two Czechs also achieved top ten results in fifth and ninth at the FIVB majors in Poreč and Gstaad and at the four-star tournament in Olsztyn. At the World Cup in Vienna they lost the round of 16 against the Americans Ross / Sweat in the tiebreak. Then they reached the European Championship in Jūrmala as group winners in the knockout round and came with three tie-break victories in the final, which they lost against the Germans Glenzke / Großner . After a mixed season in 2018 , Kolocová ended her career.
