Nadja Glenzke (born August 25, 1995 in Berlin ) is a German volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career hall

Glenzke began her career in 2004 in Berlin at Marzahner VC . From there, the middle blocker switched to the VC Olympia Berlin youth team , with whom she played in the Bundesliga for the first time in 2011. She was also used in the youth national team.

Career Beach

Glenzke has been playing with her partner Maria Eckelmann since 2013 and was German U20 runner-up that year. Then they took part in the U19 World Cup in Porto and finished ninth there. In 2014 they became German U20 champions. With Lara Schreiber , Glenzke finished ninth at the U21 World Cup in Larnaka in 2014 . With Lisa Arnholdt , she finished fifth at the U22 European Championship in Macedo de Cavaleiros, Portugal . In 2016, Kim Behrens was her partner. Behrens / Glenzke won the CEV satellite tournaments in Timișoara, Romania, and Skopje, Macedonia . At the German championship in 2016 they finished ninth.

In 2017 Glenzke formed a new German national team with Julia Großner , which trains at the federal base in Hamburg. At the FIVB 5-star tournament in Gstaad, Glenzke / Großner finished ninth. At the World Championships in Vienna they reached the lucky loser round in third place, in which they qualified for the main round against the Paraguayans Filippo / Erika . Here they eliminated their compatriots Laboreur / Sude . At the EM in Jūrmala they reached the knockout phase as third in the group and then reached the semifinals with three wins in German duels, including against the defending champions Ludwig / Walkenhorst . With another victory against the Poles Kołosińska / Gruszczyńska they reached the final against the Czech duo Kolocová / Kvapilová and became European champions. At the German championship 2017 , Glenzke / Großner finished seventh. Then Glenzke ended her professional career.

social commitment

Since 2018 Glenzke has been supporting the non-profit association Volleyball ohne Grenzen e. V. In August 2018 she takes part in a project at a primary school in Cambodia.
