Erika Sofia Mongelos Bobadilla (born October 18, 1996 in Asunción ) is a Paraguayan beach volleyball player .

Career

Erika played her first tournament in the continental series in January 2014 with Maria Johana Ocampos Romero . After that, she formed a duo with Michelle Sharon Valiente Amarilla and reached several fifth and ninth places. At the U21 World Cup in Larnaka , Erika / Michelle came in 17th and at the U19 World Cup in Porto they came in ninth. In 2015 they came in ninth and three fifths in South America. In Rio de Janeiro , Erika played her first open tournament on the FIVB World Tour with Gabriela Filippo . In 2016 Erika / Michelle stayed in the top ten in the CSV series, but were eliminated early at the Maceió Open. Then Erika played some continental tournaments and the Fortaleza Open with Patricia Carolina Caballero Peña . At the U21 World Cup in Lucerne , she finished fifth with Michelle. Erika / Pati played their first joint Grand Slam in Long Beach .

In 2017 Erika / Michelle finished third, second and fourth in the CSV series. At the one-star tournament of the World Tour 2017 in Agadir , Filippo / Erika lost the game for bronze against the French Chamereau / Placette . Via the CSV preliminary decision, they qualified for the 2017 World Cup in Vienna , where they were eliminated after finishing third in their preliminary group in the “Lucky Loser” round against the Germans Glenzke / Großner .
