Mimi Stelzer

Mimi Stelzer (born December 13, 1900 in Vienna , Austria-Hungary ; † June 14, 1957 in Vienna, Austria ) was an Austrian film and theater actress as well as operetta and musical singer ( soprano ).

Life

Mimi Stelzer started her acting career at the Viennese comedy theater. This was followed by positions at the Theater an der Wien and the Gärtnerplatz Theater in Munich . She was mainly engaged in the soubrette subject in operettas and comedies.

From 1938 she was also active as a film actress. According to her type, she played cooks, farmers or saleswomen in a total of 18 film productions. From 1948 to 1956 she was engaged at the Raimund Theater in Vienna.

The singer Josefine Stelzer (1902–1958) was probably her sister.

She died in 1957 and was buried in the Baumgartner Friedhof in Vienna.
