Mircea Ionuț Axente (born March 14, 1987 in Tulcea ) is a Romanian football player . The center forward has been under contract with Dinamo Bucharest in the Romanian League 1 since 2018 .

Career

In 2006, Axente moved from CFR Timişoara to local rivals FC Timişoara , who played in the highest Romanian football league, Liga 1 . In order to collect match practice, he was first used in the second team, later awarded to FCM Reșița and CS Buftea in League 2 , where he proved his scoring ability. After playing on loan for Gloria Buzău and Oțelul Galați in League 1, he was back in the squad of FC Timișoara since summer 2010. In the first half of the 2010/11 season he became a regular player. At the end of the season, his team was runner-up behind Oțelul Galați, but had to relegate due to a license withdrawal. Axente stayed in Timișoara and finished the 2011/12 season in first place. The ascent was denied the club due to tax debts, so that Axente moved to the first division club Dinamo Bucharest . At the beginning of the 2013/14 season he was initially without a club before FC Viitorul Constanța signed him in August 2013 . There he scored seven goals in 27 games and secured the class with his team. Subsequently, the Cypriot first division team Ermis Aradippou signed him in the summer of 2014 . There he was not used in the first games and returned to Romania in early September 2014, where promoted ASA Târgu Mureș took him under contract. With ASA he finished the 2014/15 season as runner-up behind Steaua Bucharest . After the first half of 2015/16 , he left the club to Maccabi Netanja in Israel. With Maccabi he had to relegate at the end of the season . Axente returned to Romania and joined newly promoted Gaz Metan Mediaş . At the beginning of 2017 he left Gaz Metan and joined the Saudi first division club Al Faisaly FC . In January 2018, he returned home to the Romanian first division club FC Botoșani .
