Naser Aliji (born December 27, 1993 in Skopje , Macedonia ) is an Albanian football player who also has Swiss and North Macedonian citizenship. He mainly plays in the left full-back position.
Career
societies
Aliji was born in Skopje , Macedonia , to parents from the Albanian minority . He lived there until he was four years old and then moved to Switzerland with his mother . There he started playing football at FC Baden . At the age of nine he went to FC Aarau and joined FC Basel in 2008 . Aliji made his Super League debut for FC Basel on March 16, 2014 in the game against FC Aarau (5-0). It was awarded to FC Vaduz on January 15, 2015 . After the end of the season, the loan was extended. During the 2015/16 season, the two left-backs of FC Basel were injured, so he was brought back prematurely. Under coach Urs Fischer , Aliji won the championship title for the third time with FCB at the end of the 2015/16 season .
For the 2016/17 season , Aliji moved to 1. FC Kaiserslautern in the 2. Bundesliga . After he was not considered in the first games of the following season 2017/18, the club and Aliji agreed to terminate their contract at the end of August. After that, Aliji was without a club for half a year before he joined the Italian club Virtus Entella in Serie B for six months in January 2018 . He then played for Dinamo Bucharest for a year and has been under contract with Honvéd Budapest since August 2019 .
National teams
From 2007 to 2014 Aliji played a total of twelve times for various Swiss junior national teams and scored one goal.
In 2015 he made his debut for the Albanian national team in a friendly against France . At the European Football Championship in France in 2016 , he was included in the Albanian squad , but was not used.
