Mirjam Nastasi

Mirjam Nastasi (born June 7, 1946 in Utrecht ) is a German flautist , musicologist and university rector.

Life

Nastasi studied flute and musicology in Utrecht and later continued her studies in Freiburg with Aurèle Nicolet and Hans Heinrich Eggebrecht . As a member of the Mobiel Ensemble Nederland and in collaboration with the pianist Geoffrey Madge , she initially dealt with contemporary music, later, in collaboration with artists such as Frans Vester , Frans Brüggen , Bob van Asperen and Michael Schneider, also with early music and the flute .

She has participated in numerous music festivals with various orchestras and ensembles and has given master classes in several European countries.

She works on various publications such as the Flute Library in Amsterdam and the specialist journal Tibia and works on sheet music editions and the like. a. for the Universal Edition Vienna. She is editor of the series "Die Soloflute" at the publishing house CF Peters Frankfurt.

She has taught at the Royal University of Music in The Hague, the Frankfurt University of Music and the University of Mainz . Since 1991 she has been a professor of flute and methodology, and from 1996 to 2006 she was rector of the Freiburg University of Music .
