Miroslav Lažo (born October 18, 1977 in Bratislava , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Malmö Redhawks in the Swedish HockeyAllsvenskan since 2011 .
Career
Miroslav Lažo began his career as a hockey player in HC Slovan Bratislava , he for the 1996/97 season, his debut in the Slovak Extraliga was, and with which he for the first time in the 1999/2000 season Slovakian champion was. After the attacker began the 2000/01 season in Bratislava, he ended it with the Eisbären Regensburg in the Oberliga Süd . Then Lažo returned to his Slovak homeland, where he received a contract with MsHK Žilina , for which he was active in the extra league for the following year and a half, before moving to Slovan Bratislava during the 2002/03 season, with whom he was again champion . After a season at HC Rabat Kladno and again Slovan Bratislava, as well as HC Berounští Medvědi from the Czech 1st division , Lažo began the 2004/05 season at Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk . For Nizhnekamsk, he completed two games in the Russian Super League before he spent the rest of the season at his ex-club MsHK Žilina in the Extra League .
Then the Slovak was under contract with HC Košice for two years before returning to Slovan Bratislava shortly before the end of the 2006/07 season , with whom he was Slovak champion for the third time in his career in the 2007/08 season . Due to this success, the right-handed shooter qualified with his team for the newly founded Champions Hockey League , in which he was used in all four group games for Slovan and scored four points. In 2010 he moved to Awtomobilist Yekaterinburg in the Continental Hockey League . There he could not prevail permanently, which is why he was used in parallel for Sputnik Nizhny Tagil in the Wysschaja Hockey League . In January 2011 he finally joined the HC 05 Banská Bystrica from the Slovak Extra League. For the 2011/12 season he moved to the Malmö Redhawks from HockeyAllsvenskan , the second Swedish division.
