Rypl, who starts for the Dukla Liberec , competed in Horní Mísečky for the first time in the Slavic Cup in December 2008 and took 55th place over 15 km freestyle and 35th place over 10 km classic. At the Junior World Championships 2011 in Otepää , he ran on 65th place over 10 km freestyle, on 48th place in the skiathlon and on 12th place with the relay. In February 2011 he reached his first podium in the Slavic Cup in Nové Město with second place in the skiathlon. At the Junior World Championships in Erzurum in 2012 he came in 50th place in the skiathlon, 36th place over 10 km classic and 13th place with the relay and at the U23 World Championships 2014 in Val di Fiemme on 54th place over 15 km classic and 22nd place in the skiathlon. He made his debut in the World Cup in January 2013 in Liberec , which he finished in 72nd place in the sprint. In the 2014/15 season he achieved five top ten placements, including first place in Nové Město over 15 km classic, fourth place in the overall ranking of the Slavic Cup. At the U23 World Championships in 2015 in Almaty , he finished 39th in the 15 km freestyle, 33rd place in the skiathlon and 25th place in the sprint. In February 2017 he won the bronze medal with the relay at the Winter Universiade in Almaty. The following month he won 51st place over 15 km classic at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti . In the 2017/18 season he was 82nd in the Ruka Triple and 74th in the World Cup final in Falun . At the season highlight, the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , he came in 58th place in the sprint. In the following year he finished 42nd place over 15 km classic at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld , 17th place together with Michal Novák in the team sprint and 11th place with the relay.
